Longfield’s village hall is turning into a wellbeing fair for one Sunday this month. JR & Co Events are running it on Sunday 25 October, 11 AM to 5 PM, with treatment tasters, holistic stalls, a prize draw and refreshments, and the cheapest way in is to register early for free.
Entry is in three tiers and the two paid ones are capped at 20 places each, so they will go before the day.
- £5 Early Bird VIP, 20 places: entry from 11 AM so you can book treatments before the queue forms, a free drink, a prize draw entry and a goodie bag.
- £3 Early Bird Standard, 20 places: entry from 11 AM, a free drink and a prize draw entry.
- Free early registration: one prize draw entry, and you still get in.
- On the day: doors open to walk-ins from 11:30 AM.
Tickets are on buytickets.at/jrcoeventsltd

What Is Being Offered On The Day
The treatments list is long for a village hall fair. Psychic and tarot readings, reiki, energy healing, massages, facials, kinesiology, acupuncture, chair massages and nutritional consultations. Most of these run as short tasters, which is the point of a fair like this, you try two or three things for a few pounds each before paying for a full session with anyone.
The stalls side is skincare, beauty products, holistic goods, and the treats and baked goods table that every village hall fair has. Refreshments run all day, there is a prize draw, and there is a car park on site, which is worth knowing before you set off.
The half hour between 11 and 11:30 is what the early bird tickets are really buying. The organisers say VIP entry is there so you can book treatments early, which means the popular therapists, the reiki and the readings especially, will be taking bookings from 11 and the best slots will be gone by the time walk-ins arrive. Five pounds for first pick and a drink is not much.
For Anyone Who Has Not Been To A Fair Like This
Bring cash as well as a card. Some of the stallholders and therapists take card and some do not, and the small bakery tables usually do not. Taster treatments tend to be ten to fifteen minutes, so plan for the ones you want rather than wandering, and bring a bag for whatever you buy from the stalls.
The organisers’ own line for the day is “come support local businesses and invest in your well-being”, and that is the fair in one sentence. Every stall is a local trader or therapist, and the fair is one of the few afternoons in the year where you can meet a dozen of them in one room.
