SheSpeaks Ministries and Audacious Women of Faith are having their yearly Breast Cancer & Women’s Health Event out at the Ag Center on Goldsboro Street, and they get started at 2 o’clock. It’s just a $5 donation at the door, and anybody can come.
If you are fighting breast cancer right now, if you beat it years ago, if menopause has you asking questions your doctor never seems to have time for, or if you’re the one driving your mama or your sister to every appointment, this afternoon is for you. It’s a faith event, so expect testimonies and a whole lot of encouragement right along with the health talks.
Talks, Testimonies and Time for Your Questions
- Health professionals and women who have been through it will talk about why catching it early makes all the difference, and what treatment looks like these days.
- You’ll hear where to find a support group, somebody to talk to, and help with the bills.
- There’s a part on what you can change at home to lower your chances.
- At the end the panel takes questions, anything you want to ask.
Write your questions on a piece of paper and bring it with you. Once the room starts asking, yours will go right out of your head. There’ll be refreshments too, and papers to take home.
